Grilled Turkey Club

Every once in a while, I’d browse through the veggie section of the grocery store and notice some greens I’ve never had before. Like the other day, I picked up a bag of upland cress. Interesting, I thought! The roots are all intact and the thing’s apparently alive, also. Well, that’s what the label says anyway. So, I thought I’d give it a try on a sammie, for starters.

Mmmm… peppery! Reminds me of arugula but in a different way. Pretty fancy, actually. Really kicked my turkey club up a notch, for sure.

Here’s what I used: Organic Whole Wheat Bread, All-Natural Honey-Smoked Turkey Ham, Turkey Bacon, Upland Cress, Swiss Cheese, Low-Fat Mayo and Organic Dijon Mustard. I slapped them altogether, drizzled the bread with a little organic EVOO and toasted it on a medium-low heated grill pan for a few minutes on each side. Served with Veggie Chips. Yum!
